City of Ancona

Ancona is the capital of Le Marche region which lies directly opposite Zadar in central Italy and is one of the five provinces contained within this region. As one of the most important ports along the Adriatic Sea. The Port of Ancona located in the middle of the Italian Adriatic coast. The port has a key function in the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-Region as terminal of the international ferry routes to Greece, Croatia, and Albania. There is a strong commercial shipping and passenger traffic industry in Ancona, but it also has an enormous tourism opportunity.

At first, Ancona doesn’t seem compelling, it is worth discovering though. This city is blessed with many hidden treasures and is a unique place. In the surroundings of Ancona are situated some of the best beaches Le Marche. Additionally, all the port areas boast a mix of historical buildings and modern facilities like the Mole Vanvitellian and the Arco di Traiano. The city has also some beautiful squares, museums, and historical monuments, plus a host of great local restaurants and bars.
