City of Morocco

Morocco is a sovereign country in North Africa with coastlines on both the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Bordered by Western Sahara and Algeria, it sits directly south of Spain, across the Strait of Gibraltar.

Embracing the future but holding strong traditions, Morocco is almost entirely inhabited by a mix of Arabs and Berbers. Perfectly reflecting this outlook is Marrakech, the third largest city lying near the foothills of the snowy Atlas Mountains. The historical medina district is crisscrossed with narrow passageways and local markets, emitting a quintessentially Moroccan hustle and bustle, while the other half of the city contains modern restaurants and high-end brand shops. Medinas are found throughout the country: in Fez; one of the oldest and largest medieval cities on earth, and Casablanca; a modern, high-flying city featuring the third biggest Mosque in the world.
