The Island of Sardinia

Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, after Sicily. It is located west of the Italian Peninsula, north of Tunisia and immediately south of the French island of Corsica. It is divided into four provinces and a metropolitan city. The capital of the region of Sardinia — and its largest city — is Cagliari. The port of Sardinia ( Porto Torres) located on the north-west part of Sardinian Coast.

The island of Sardinia located closer to Africa than to Italy, but with landscapes that look like Greek. Its sandy, deep blue beaches compete in beauty with the granite, rocky shores of this “torn” island in general. Everywhere around it, “nailed” and a small island: the tourist Mandalena and Caprera in the north, but also the quieter San Piedro and Sant Antioch in the south. Inland, verdant ridges and valleys with orange groves and monks grazing sheep. And then the villages: some colorless and boring, with graffiti on the walls of apartment buildings, some others, like Boza in the west, unimaginable graphics, with their well-preserved medieval architecture, look like they are floating on water.
